Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Local Marketry ("Local Marketry," "I," "me," or "my") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information I collect, why I collect it, and what I do with it.
Local Marketry is a sole proprietorship doing business as "Local Marketry," based in Colorado, United States.
This policy applies to visitors to my website, newsletter subscribers, and Customers of the Local Growth System.
If a term in this policy is unclear, my contact information is in Section 13.
2. Definitions
I use a few defined terms consistently across this policy and my other site policies, including my Terms of Sale and Refund Policy:
- The Local Growth System (or "the System"): my self-paced, $397 marketing framework, delivered as downloadable files.
- Digital Products: the System and any other standalone downloadable materials I may sell now or in the future.
- Customer: someone who has purchased a Digital Product.
- Visitor or User: anyone browsing my website who has not purchased anything.
- AI Tools: third-party AI systems, such as ChatGPT or Claude, that a Customer may choose to use on their own while working through the System. I do not own, operate, or have access to these tools.
- Personal Information: any information that identifies you, collected through my website, my forms, a purchase, or my email list.
3. Information I Collect
Information you give me directly
- Your name and email address, when you subscribe to my newsletter, contact me, or purchase the Local Growth System
- Anything you include in a message when you contact me directly
- Purchase details, including what you bought, the price paid, and the date of purchase
Information collected automatically
- Basic website usage data, such as pages visited and general location at the country or region level, collected through Squarespace's built-in analytics tool
Information collected by my payment processor
When you purchase the Local Growth System, your payment is processed directly by Squarespace Payments. I do not receive or store your full card number. I do receive confirmation that payment was made, along with basic order details.
What I do not collect
The Local Growth System is delivered as a direct file download. I do not create a login or account for you, and I do not receive, see, or store anything you enter into the System's own worksheets or your Business Snapshot. That information stays on your device unless you choose to send it to me directly, for example, by email.
If you choose to use an AI Tool while working through the System, that is something you do on your own, with your own account and your own data. I do not receive, process, or have any visibility into that activity.
4. How I Use Your Information
I use the personal information described above to:
- Deliver the Local Growth System after purchase
- Respond to questions or support requests
- Send newsletter emails to subscribers who opted in, and manage that subscription
- Understand, in a general and aggregate way, how visitors use my website, so I can improve it
- Meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations
I do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. How I Share Your Information
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
I share personal information only with the service providers I use to run my business:
- Squarespace, which hosts my website, sends my newsletter emails, and provides basic website analytics
- Squarespace Payments, which processes payments for the Local Growth System
I may also share personal information if required by law, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Local Marketry, my customers, or others.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
My website uses Squarespace's built-in cookie tools, which display a cookie banner and let you manage your preferences. These cookies support basic website functionality and the analytics described in Section 3. I do not currently use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
7. Data Retention
I keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Local Growth System and related support, communicate with newsletter subscribers, and meet legal and accounting obligations, such as tax recordkeeping. After that, I delete or anonymize it. If you would like your information deleted sooner, see Section 8.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- The right to know what personal information I have collected about you
- The right to access a copy of that information
- The right to correct inaccurate information
- The right to request deletion of your information
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information
- The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
These rights are drawn from laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the UK GDPR. Depending on your location, not every right above may apply to you, and you may have additional rights under your local law.
To exercise any of these rights, contact me using the information in Section 13. I will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
9. International Visitors
Local Marketry is based in the United States, and I welcome customers and visitors from other countries, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere. If you are located outside the United States, your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your home country.
Where required, I rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism. If you have questions about how your information is transferred, contact me using the information in Section 13.
10. Children's Privacy
Local Marketry is intended for business owners and other adults. I do not knowingly market to, or collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18. If I learn that I have collected personal information from someone under 18, I will delete it.
11. Data Security
I take reasonable steps to protect the personal information I collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so I cannot guarantee absolute security. My website and payment processing rely on the security measures provided by Squarespace and Squarespace Payments as part of their platforms.
12. Changes to This Policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example, as my business grows or as privacy laws change. If I make a material change, I will update the effective date at the top of this document. I encourage you to review this policy periodically.
