I was a customer first
Hi! I’m Tati, founder of Local Marketry.
I bought a fixer-upper about ten years ago. Since then, I’ve hired contractors across nearly every discipline you can renovate a house with. I’ve shopped locally for as long as I can remember, and I am a regular at the wellness center down the street. My family tries every small restaurant within driving distance, we have worked with the same local accountant for years, and my daughter attends a math learning center in the neighborhood.
Dozens of businesses, all kinds of owners, all kinds of trades. And somewhere along the way, I started noticing the same thing in almost every one of them.
Not one of these owners lacked skill. Every one of them was good, sometimes exceptional, at what they did. What was missing was never the craft. It was what sat underneath it: a clear reason to choose them, a reason to come back, a next step that made sense.
The craft was there. The structure around it was not.
I spent years watching the same thing happen on a much larger scale in product marketing at large companies and startups. Great teams skipping the one step that mattered most: understanding what was actually broken before deciding what to do about it. The pressure for quick results, the complex offers, the pull to sell to everyone, all of it worked against the patience real diagnostic thinking requires.
That's why I started Local Marketry. Most local business owners are taught their craft. Almost none are taught how to look at their own business the way a strategist would, find the real constraint, and build from there. I wanted to close that gap, plainly and directly, for the kind of business I have been buying from my whole life.
It doesn't take much to succeed at marketing a good business. You've got to understand what's actually broken before deciding what to fix.
Who I built this for.
I built The Local Growth System for owners running a real business, doing the work every day, who are ready to slow down for a few hours to get the sequence right: who you serve, what makes you different, what your offer should look like, and only then, which channels and tactics to use.
If you want to understand your real constraint before you spend another dollar or another weekend on marketing, that's exactly what this is built for.
I'm here to help you see clearly, decide once, and run something that keeps working. That's the only kind of marketing worth your time.
If you've read this and think your business needs something more hands-on than the framework, or you'd just like to talk it through with me directly, reach out. I'm always glad to hear from another owner working through this.
